Amazon.com Product Description
Your morning commute can be stressful enough. Waking up doesn't have to be. With the Memorex Alarm Clock for iPod, you can wake up to your favorite iPod tunes or favorite radio station, through the alarm clock's built-in FM tuner. Wake to iPod, Radio, or Buzzer Set up your favorite tune to get you going in the morning, or catch the morning's news or traffic reports on your favorite FM station. For those who need to bring out the heavy artillery, a buzzer is also provided. Install two AAA batteries and you'll also have a battery backup, so you're not late even in the event of a power outage. Gradual Alarm For a kinder, gentler alarm, the volume on the Memorex iPod Alarm Clock can be set to increase gradually every five seconds, until the maximum volume is reached. Simple, Intuitive Button Layout The Memorex Alarm Clock for iPod is quick to program with an intuitive button layout. It's as easy to navigate between iPod, FM radio, and buzzer modes as it is to hit "snooze" in the morning. Charge Your iPod While You Sleep The iPod docking station charges your iPod while you sleep, leaving you both with a fresh start to the day. This feature also eliminates the need for additional wires, leaving your nightstand clutter-free. Compact Design Unlike many traditional alarm clocks, Memorex iPod Alarm Clock offers a small, compact design, making it the perfect fit for any size nightstand. Auxiliary Input Connect your non-docking iPods, MP3 players, CD players, or other external devices using the 3.5-mm auxiliary input. What's in the Box Memorex Mi4390BLK, AC power adapter, wireless remote, universal iPod adapters, and user's manual.

Very Functional but Few Frills September 2, 2010 byrdgyrl Works well - easy to set time (although I did have to look at the directions briefly). Sound quality from iPod is good; only have to have the volume on 3 or 4 to hear it well. Imagine that it could get quite loud. Connects to my 30G first-generation iPod video easily, charges it quickly. The blue backlight is quite bright at night, but can be turned off completely. Alarm works well, although you can't listen to your iPod before you go to sleep and then have it wake you up to a different playlist - have to set the playlist you want to wake you before you go to bed. Makes a slight high-pitched humming noise when you put your ear up to it in complete silence, but nothing that would ever bother me and my hearing is fairly good. Haven't gotten a chance to use the radio yet. A good, solid iPod clock radio, and nice and small as well.
A little disappointed August 24, 2010 erin1 I'm a little disappointed in this alarm clock. The mode button has not worked on it since I received it so I'm unable to switch from FM to AM. In addition, the back light on the screen is bright blue and gives off a lot of light at night. We adjusted it so that it isn't as bright but it dimmed the numbers as well which now makes it difficult to tell what time it is when looking at the clock from across the room.
Intuitive design August 23, 2010 zfm I bought this for a guest bedroom, so it had to be easy to use for first timers without reading the manual. It succeeds on that score, and is compact, so it doesn't take up much room on the night stand. The display has four brightness levels, including "off", another plus. The sound quality is good for a small device, and the remote is a nice if not critical accessory. I keep a cord for the accessory jack nearby for use with non-Apple products.
My only complaint is the lack of preset stations - it would be nice to program in 3 or 4 presets for guests not familiar with the local radio stations. Still, that's a small issue, and overall this is a great, inexpensive unit.
memorex Mi 439BLK Clock Radio August 16, 2010 dmac You get what you pay for. I was hoping this would be a good deal...But I can't get the time set in 9 of 10 tries as the buttons do not work And It makes a strange feedback sound every so often when my i-phone is connected...Not easy to sleep so have to put it in a spare room. I will be buying a more substantial model.
