There are no 3rd party accessories yet made to go with the newest iPhone, so I was nervous buying this but thought it might work since OS4.0 support was mentioned. Good news! It works! The docking cradle is round to the iPhone 4's square, so you have to push it in a little harder, but it plays and charges as advertised.

The look is like the iphone - silver and black glass - very sleek and sexy and thin from front to back. I keep it on the dimmest setting and it doesn't bother be at night - the brightest setting is like day-glo!

The sound quality, for a clock radio, is very good - not Bose or anything, but I've got no complaints. And it can get LOUD! The FM tuner picks up the signal well - I didn't even have to unwind the antenna!

My only complaint is that the buttons are all close together and similar looking, so there's definitely a learning curve and it's not great for operating blind. A remote would've been nice, but at least you get external ipod controls!

Overall I'm very happy with this clock radio and felt it was a very good value for the price.

I've had this clock for a couple of days now and so far I've been really happy with it. While the sound quality isn't stellar at loud volumes, I still really enjoy listening to it in my room and waking up to either my radio or iPod. It's important to read the directions for setting your clock and radio presets, but once that is all out of the way it's a joy to operate.

I only used this for about 5 minutes, but these were my impressions before I packed it back up and asked for a return.

It won't fit my iPhone 3G with a SwitchEasy Rebel case on it. Most people I know have that enormous Otterbox case for their iPhone, so as far as I'm concerned I have a relatively slim case, but still it won't fit.
I took off my case and made sure it worked at all, which it did, and sounded good to my ears for a minute, but I'm not taking off my case to dock my phone.
I ordered another (my second) iHome iP9 after this, since it comes with a big enough docking area to support anything, and my case comes with docking parts built specifically for this case. Too bad this Philips doesn't support them.

I've had my Philips DC315/37 for a few days now so this is an early review, primarily to assure everyone that it IS iPhone 4 compatible. I started hearing music the instant I connected my iPhone 4 to the dock. The unit looks great -- very sleek. The sound is good, not spectacular. This morning I had occasion to use the alarm for the first time and I slept through it (not an easy feat for me) because I didn't have the volume turned up high enough, but that is user error. I do find that the unit's buttons are close together and I have to be careful when I'm placing the iPhone in the dock, to not press any buttons I don't want to press, so the design seems a little awkward in that sense. But overall I'm very happy with it and will update later if I change my mind after extended use.

While the sound quality isn't amazing, it is an alarm clock so I was not expecting it to be. The sound is much better than typical alarm clocks, volume goes much higher than needed, looks great and is nice that it has multiple alarms that can be set to automatically repeat on different days. I Rarely read instructions, but I think the system is a bit more complicated than it needed to be, but after looking at the instructions it's easily set up.
